  • Revolutionary War Patriot Elias Cady (1759-1853) served in the Rhode Island Militia as a private in Co. C, 2nd Regiment in Captains Blue and Morey's Company and Colonel Elisha Morey's Regiment. Elias Cady was born in Smithfield, Providence County, Rhode Island, on September 7, 1759. He was married to Olive Baker and they had six children, two sons and four daughters. He moved to Holly, Michigan in 1838 Elias Cady died March 31, 1853, in Holly, Michigan and was buried in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Holly Township, Oakland County, Michigan.
