Solomon Jones

  • Revolutionary War Patriot Solomon Jones (1760-1865) served in the Connecticut militia as a solder in Captain Abyah Rowles 6th Company and was later ordered to Boston. Solomon Jones was born in Saybrook, Connecticut in 1760. He married Hannah Friday, his second wife, and they had seven children. He came to Michigan in 1843 and settled in Springfield. Solomon Jones died in 1865, at the age of 104-105. He is buried in the Davisburg Cemetery located in Davisburg, Oakland County, Michigan.
