  • Revolutionary War Patriot Nathaniel Landon (1757-1851) as a private served in the New Jersey militia in Captain Archibald Shaw's Company, Colonel William C. Maxwell's Regiment; the Pennsylvania militia in Captain Hawkins Boone's Company, Captain Robinson's Regiment and later Captain Robinson's Company, Colonel Elder's Regiment; and the New York militia in Colonel Henry Wisner's 4th Regiment. Nathaniel Landon was born in New York in 1757. He married Hannah Greene and they had five children, two girls and three boys. He came to Oakland County, Michigan about 1828. He was last of the Revolutionary War soldiers to file for a pension in Oakland County. Nathaniel Landon died in 1851, and was buried in the Lakeview Cemetery in Addison Township, Oakland County, Michigan.
