The Jeremiah Clark Chapter gathered on November 18th for an evening filled with new inductions, awards, patriotic remembrance, and the installation of our 2026 officers.

New Members
Ken Loudy welcomed Ron Anderson and Glen Merkel as our newest Compatriots. Rosettes were presented by Eddie Howell.

Memorial Tribute
A solemn Two-Bell Memorial Service was conducted in remembrance of Compatriots Jeffrey Clark Pardee and past chapter president, David LeRoy Suzor. Eddie Howell and Michael Wall performed Taps and offered words of condolence on behalf of the Chapter. May they rest in eternal peace, and may their families find comfort in knowing their service and legacy live on.

Awards & Recognitions
A wide range of Chapter, America 250, and Partners in Patriotism awards were presented, including:
• Meritorious Service Medals: Eddie Howell (2nd award), James Pabst, Mike Packard, Dave Walls
• Henry Knox Achievement Medals: Dennis Van Wormer, Dale Chapman
• Outstanding Young Member: Lincoln Malott
• Certificates of Appreciation: Steve Nesbitt, Larry Arms, Charlie Howell
• America 250 Awards: Gold – Grant Goulet; Bronze – Bob Matthews, Wayne Beutler, Arsey Miller, Kennedy Pardee
• Partner Awards: Macie & Parker Hagle, Scout Troop 185, and Elias Cady CAR

Guest Speaker
Renee Verbeke, Strength in Numbers, shared how her organization supports senior veterans through meals, holiday giving, and coordinated assistance in partnership with other nonprofits. Jeremiah Clark Chapter members also brought in donations to support Strength in Numbers, demonstrating our continued commitment to caring for local veterans in need.

Recent and Upcoming Events
Recent activities included the America 250 Flag Retirement Ceremony, Veterans Lunch, and several Veterans Day programs. Upcoming: Wreaths Across America on Dec 13 at Great Lakes National Cemetery and Lakeview Cemetery.

Patriot Moment
Compatriot Steve Nesbitt delivered this month’s Patriot Moment, honoring Patriot John Reeder (1761–1813). As Reeder’s descendant, Steve presented in old guard colors, bringing a meaningful personal connection to the story.

Outgoing President Ken Loudy officially swore in new President Eddie Howell, who then shared thoughtful remarks inspired by NSSAR President General Michael J. Elston.
