The Jeremiah Clark Chapter was honored to be well represented at the America 250 Monument Dedication hosted by the Coachella Valley Chapter, SAR, at Desert Memorial Park in Cathedral City, California. This meaningful event brought together compatriots from across the country to commemorate the approaching 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding.
Our chapter was proud to see dual member Dave Arthurs—who currently serves as both President and Registrar of the Coachella Valley Chapter—take part in the ceremony as a member of the CASSAR Color Guard. His leadership and dedication continue to reflect great credit on both chapters.
Adding to the solemnity of the moment, Compatriot Eddie Howell represented the Jeremiah Clark Chapter through his participation in a moving performance of Echo Taps, offering a poignant tribute to our patriot ancestors and all who have served.
The newly dedicated monument features a striking depiction of the iconic image of George Washington in prayer, a powerful symbol of resolve and faith during our nation’s struggle for independence. The significance of this dedication was further elevated by the attendance of NSSAR President General Michael J. Elston, who is a 9th-generation cousin of George Washington—a remarkable connection to the very history we gather to honor.
The Jeremiah Clark Chapter is grateful to have been part of this historic occasion as America 250 approaches, and we extend our sincere appreciation to the Coachella Valley Chapter for hosting such a meaningful and well-organized event.
