Our August chapter meeting was filled with exciting highlights. We were honored to have Joe Williams, the President of the Michigan Society Sons of the American Revolution (MISSAR), join us. During the meeting, he presented our chapter with the prestigious President General Robert B. Vance Award, recognizing our website as the best among chapters nationwide.
We also had the pleasure of welcoming Parker Hagle, President of the Children of the American Revolution (CAR). Parker is currently raising funds for an organization that provides service dogs to veterans. We look forward to sharing more details about her inspiring project in the coming weeks.
Additionally, we celebrated the induction of our newest member, Steve Nesbitt, who was sworn in by the MISSAR President. Members Ken Loudy, Mike Packard, Dave Suzor, and Jeff Pardee were recognized for their contributions to the America 250 initiative. Eddie Howell also shared the America 250 Monthly Moment, focusing on the Boston Non-Importation Agreement.
