Levi Green

  • Revolutionary War Patriot Levi Green (1758-1851) served in both the Massachusetts and New York militias as a private in Captain Baldwin's Company; Captain Newell's Company; and Captain Brown's Company, Colonel Simond's Regiment. During his service he also spent time as a ranger. Levi Green was born in Coventry, Kent County, Rhode Island on June 6, 1758. He married Asenath Robinson and they had ten children. He came to West Bloomfield, Michigan in 1832. Levi Green died June 24, 1851, in West Bloomfield and is buried in the North Farmington Cemetery in Farmington Hills, Oakland County, Michigan.
