Chasing Liberty Exhibit

Chasing Liberty Exhibit
  • 1 Mar, 2026

The Jeremiah Clark Chapter is honored to be participating in the ongoing Chasing Liberty exhibit at the Lorenzo Cultural Center in Macomb County. The exhibit runs through May 2, 2026 and commemorates the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence through immersive storytelling, music, and historical reflection centered on America’s enduring pursuit of liberty.

The Opening Ceremony, which has already taken place, set a powerful tone for the exhibit. The MISSAR Color Guard proudly presented the colors, carrying the United States flag along with historic Revolutionary War flags and the flags representing the SAR, DAR, and CAR, followed by the dignified retirement of the colors. The 1st Michigan Colonial Fife and Drum Corps added authentic Revolutionary era spirit with period music, and attendees also enjoyed a memorable appearance by an actor portraying Thomas Jefferson, reflecting on the ideals that shaped the Declaration of Independence.

As part of the exhibit, the Jeremiah Clark Chapter is displaying its Patriots of Oakland County metal artwork, honoring the forty-four Revolutionary War Patriots confirmed to be buried in Oakland County, Michigan.

If you have not yet visited, there is still time. The exhibit remains on display through May 2nd. We encourage everyone to experience this meaningful celebration of liberty.
