Since 2023, our chapter has upheld and advanced the mission of the Sons of the American Revolution in Clarkston and surrounding communities through education, historical preservation, and patriotic service.

Our Programs

These programs represent the primary ways the Jeremiah Clark Chapter promotes patriotism, preserves the history of the American Revolution, and encourages civic education within our community.

  • Our chapter participates in America 250 initiatives that commemorate the Revolutionary era and promote public understanding of the events and principles that shaped the birth of the United States.

  • Patriot Grave Marking
  • The SAR conducts patriot grave marking ceremonies to honor individuals who supported the cause of American independence and preserve the memory of their service.

  • Community Events
  • Our chapter participates in community observances such as Memorial Day, Flag Day, and Independence Day programs that celebrate America's heritage.

  • Boy / Eagle Scouts
  • The SAR supports scouting programs that encourage leadership, service, and patriotism, recognizing outstanding scouts and promoting civic responsibility among young people.

  • Youth Awards & Contests
  • Our chapter promotes SAR youth contests that encourage students to explore American history through writing, public speaking, and creative expression.

  • Genealogy Workshops
  • Genealogy workshops help individuals research their family history and discover connections to Revolutionary War patriots.

  • Wreaths Across America
  • Each December, our chapter participates in Wreaths Across America to honor veterans by placing remembrance wreaths on their graves.

  • Jeremiah Clark Legacy Project
  • In honor of our chapter namesake, we document the Clark family lineage and preserve historical records connected to Revolutionary War patriot Jeremiah Clark.
